Self Image – People like to lose weight and get in shape to promote there own self image in their day to day life. People generally feel better when they are comfortable with their bodies and not self conscious around other about performing activities or simple things such as over-stretching in case it reveals an unflattering angle in the eyes of others. To be confident with your own body gives you more self confidence.
Health – Being over weight comes with a list of health risks. Sometimes people will get to the point where they have had enough of being at that risk of ill health and change their lifestyle to lose weight and live a healthier life. There can be also times where a person has no option but to lose weight as their blood pressure is too high or are having heart issues and have been instructed to do so by their doctor.
Mobility – When you are active in your job or participate in sports being fit, healthy and agile is a top priority. People will want to lose weight when they begin to feel slow or sluggish due to unnecessary fat gain. Carrying to much weight can also cause joint problems due to the unnecessary stress that the weight brings, people that have children also want to feel mobile enough to play games with them and keep up with the child as much as they can.
Relationships – When in a relationship there can be times when you are seeking reassurance. If you are with someone you love and they love you equally then body image should not be an issue, although that is not always the case. More often than not you want to be proud of your appearance and feel confident with your partner when being introduced to new people, you want to keep the attraction between you and your partner as strong as its always been.. Being at a healthy weight can be beneficial for not only your opposite gender attraction confidence but also beneficial when it comes to times of intimacy.
Mind And Well being – Being overweight is not only bad for your health, it can be bad for your mind. When you are overweight it can play on your head and cause anxiety and stress in some cases. This is never good, for most people if you look good then you feel good. Being at a healthy weight and happy with your body will give you a better sense of well being throughout your day and can have a positive impact on your life.
