Eating Out Without The Guilt...

We all know what it’s like – When you go out friends and such and they are all eating everything and anything but you have been following a diet… You become unsure of what really to have “What can be deemed as “Healthy”

This can be a very daunting task for most of us who feel unsure about where to go and what specifically to eat.

The thing is, it’s something that we can’t avoid, the indecisiveness that is… In a sense.

But what we can do, is make educated decisions based on it.

We can start to implement certain perimeters towards what we are actually going to do and what target foods we are going to steer clear from.

When it comes to heading out to a take away whether it be Indian or Chinese, Italian or whatever.

A good principle to remember first and foremost is – Am I really going to eat all that.

Ordering less than what you would do before really gives you that sense of not having to force yourself to eat more just because there is some left on your plate… Even though you are full.

Sticking to lean protein sources also is a big plus and steering away from things too high in carbohydrates like plates full of pasta is always going to be a big plus. Some good fats will also help your body metabolise the meal and digest it.

When it comes to desert… This can be everyones downfall…

The stomach & eyes are great at making things seem as though you NEED to have them.

Eat desert… In moderation, that’s all I have to say on that one as any desert in excess is detrimental. Unless of course, the restaurant offer a fruit menu or even a jelly menu, in that case… opt for that instead.

At the end of the day, everyone needs to live, everyone is entitled to a meal out and unless you are a strict competitive athlete looking to attain a certain goal on a certain date, almost everyone is going to eat out at some point.

It’s about knowing what to do and where your tolerances may lie…
